Peking Opera
The Peking Opera, With its fascinating and artistic accompanying music, singing and costumes, is China's national opera. Full of Chinese cultural facts, the opera presents the audience with an encyclopedia of Chinese culture, as well as unfolding stories, beautiful paintings, exquisite costumes, graceful gestures and martial arts.
Since Peking Opera enjoys a higher reputation than other local operas, almost every province in China has more than one Peking Opera troupes. Opera is very popular among Chinese people, especially seniors, that even "Peking Opera Month" has been declared.

Paper-cut
Chinese Paper-cut is a very popular folk art craft in China. Boasting for rich contents, compact structures and smooth lines, Chinese paper-cuts are deeply rooted in people's daily life. There are no records about when Chinese paper-cuts came into being, but they already enjoyed popularity in the early Qing Dynasty.

In the primitive society, acrobatics was closely related with music and dance, and became dominant of cultures at that time.

Calligraphy, or shufa, is one of the four basic skills and disciplines of the Chinese literati. The other three ones are painting (hua), stringed musical instruments (qin) and board games (qi ).
